The 2024 Eye on the Future teen video contest is live!

The National Eye Institute (NEI) is encouraging teens to explore careers in science through the annual Eye on the Future teen video contest. The contest is open to all high school students in the United States. To enter, students must submit a short video about science in their world, in the field or lab, or in their future by April 14. They could win $2,000 and a free trip to NIH!

AI makes retinal imaging 100 times faster, compared to manual method

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health applied artificial intelligence (AI) to a technique that produces high-resolution images of cells in the eye. They report that with AI, imaging is 100 times faster and improves image contrast 3.5-fold.
